Application
Production manufacture of carbon fibre drive shafts.
Machine specification
- To wind tape onto a spindle up to 3 metres in length
- Three-axis control of mandrel rotation speed, tape dispensing carriage position and tape tension, using Si-Plan's 879 digital controller with PC user-interface
- Winding diameter: 0 - 200mm
- Spindle capacity: 200kg
- Speed range: 0 – 300 rpm
- Spindle torque: 30Nm
- Tape heating: hot air, temperature controlled.
