Torque cells

Si-Plan has a range of standard torque cell design rules. These provide torque bearing elements which can be either fatigue or static rated. Torque cells are usually strain gauged elements. Torque cells up to 80,000Nm have been manufactured.  Si-Plan also uses hoop load cells and torque reaction arms to build torque transducers with ranges as low as 1Nm full scale and resolution of 0.001Nm

Si-Plan can also re-gauge torque cells where existing metal work is structurally sound (no fatigue cracks), but the gauges have de-bonded from the substrate or where insulation has broken down.
