Sub Contract Machining
Si-Plan has experience in CNC and conventional machining of steels, high temperature alloys, aluminium and plastics and is used to carrying out protoyping, 1 offs, and low volume machining work.
Our workshop is well equiped with:
- 13 CNC machines
- CNC centre lathes
- CNC vertical machining centres for milling
- 2x tool room Bridgeport turret mills
- 1x horizontal boring machine
- 1x manual lathe
- spark erroding
- horizontal and cylindrical grinding
- horizontal and vertical band saws
- power guillotine
- MIG welder
- 2 folk lifts
- CNC offline programming
Components machined range from weighing a few grams and fitting human hand to large steel crossheads weighing upto 6 tonnes. The machining envelope is up to 2000 x 1400 x 1400mm for CNC milling and 2m between centres up to 750mm diameter for CNC turning. Production type work is carried out on turning centres with driven tooling and vertical machining centres.
